The CSA is hosting a track event at Atlanta Motor Speedway in Hampton, GA (1hour south of ATL).
$15 if you register ahead of time $20 on the day of and $25 for 5 laps around the track. You can purchase additional laps the day of and of course donate as much as you want in the name of Breast Cancer.

I am in no way affiliated with this event, just thought it'd be fun! I'm going to try to squeeze it into my Saturday. I hope some other V's can get out there to represent also.

That could be fun...I'll have to see how sober I can stay with the UGA game earlier in the day.

UGA plays at 7:00pm.. during the event. Will be on radio at 95.5 though...

Thumbs down on the 80 mph speed limit.. I bet it feels like you are doing 35 on that track..

Regardless, I'd still participate just for the visual perspective if I were closer.

The lead pace car is doing 80 mph. You may slow down to 60 and play a little "catch up".. just don't pass the pace car.

Or you could just pass the pace car for one hot lap, and get kicked out... Oops!

I like that....and just say your throttle got stuck Toyota style! Or....hot lap it and donate more.....

Either way.....wide open lap at Atlanta is worth $20 and an escort off the premise! :sneaky:

Hell, you're signing a waiver before you get on the track anyway... might as well have some fun with it. lol.

Oh yeah, late game. Forgot about that. Guess that rules me out then...

Anyways, I've been on a flat out pace car ride around that track at 120mph and it was MORE fun than a Petty Driving Experience ride since the car was absolutely at the limit...80 will feel slow in a CTS-V but being at night should make it cool nonetheless. On the ride along on our final lap we got up in the marbles between 1/2 and headed straight for the wall...it was pretty awesome, lol. That was a new Camaro SS btw with 4 ppl in it.

Well regardless of how much fun the actual track part is it'll be a good turnout with a bunch of cool cars there. I understand the Georgia game being more important, but I think I'll be able to miss one this time. I do have season tickets and will be heading down to J'ville at the end of the month.

Gotta say this was a very loosely put-together event. Didn't really see any rules enforced, they never checked a driver's license, they never really went over the rules with anyone, so if you didn't read it online yourself you were completely ignorant to them. I never saw any fliers with rules on them while I was there.

Despite all that it was a pretty cool event. Lots of cool people there and plenty of cool cars. I was the only V... kinda hard to believe. I got into a flat out drag race down the back stretch with that orange G8 in the pics.. we came out about even.
