Anybody use Amsoil filter Ea032 for their LS6? Amsoil site doesn't show it. Did something change?

I use the UPF-44 on my '06 LS2. It should fit the LS6, as well...Luke can get them for you...

The lookup guide lists EA15K32-EA now. Looks like Marketing Dept has struck again.

Thanks, darkman.

Didn't know Luke had oil filters, mstrjon. In retrospect, it's like DUH! of course he does! I would've ordered them from him, except this time I needed some filters for my DD plus got some 75W-90 Severe Gear to change my diff fluid.

Order complete. Thanks, again, guys!

The UPF is arguably the best filter you can buy for the money, it's a completely different filter from the standard AC Delco PF series filters...I prefer it over the Amsoil filter. There are a couple articles about them on the web.

They only make them in the UPF-44 and UPF-52 (IIRC?) sizes, now, though. Lucky for you the 44 fits on our cars (the 07 guys are out of luck, I think).

06 and 07 are LS2. You have the same motor as an 07.

I know they're both LS2, I'm pretty sure that GM changed the threading on the 07 motors...I think they require a different filter.

Yep. The 2006 takes a Delco PF46 (Amsoil Ea15K32) while the 2007 (Amsoil Ea15K50) takes a Delco PF48.

Interesting, didn't know that. I checked a couple of sites and they both call out a different filter on the 06 and 07's. I checked the 06, 07 (LS2), and 08 (LS3) vettes and it turns out I use the same filter as those cars. I guess i can see why they made the change but it seems silly to do it on one production year.

Thanks for looking it up darkman, I was just too lazy. :)

For reference, the PF-46 and PF-44 are compatible, as well. Though, the only reason you'd use a 44 in place of a 46 is because you're ordering the UPF-44. I think the PF-46 has a better filtration rating than the PF-44, but not as good as the UPF.
