I am at my wits end with this its so damn annoying. I honestly wish I could remove it and put in a filler panel and call it a day.

Has anyone gotten this fixed for good? Its not coming from the headliner plastic trim its from the actual sunroof itself and its mounting points.

Any DIY solutions?

Try a silicone lube around the edges of the seals. That helped mine.

Did you take it to the dealer? There is a TSB for it.

GM repurchase department was able to fix mine.

can someone post up the TSB?

I noticed last week when waxing my cars roof that the rubber around the sunroof, which appears to be a very hard rubber has cracking all around, not deep cracking but very thin cracking throughout with thin lines to the rubber and i wonder if this is why mine is so bad.

You can't post TSB's. You can thank Sal, Tony, and Jimmy. http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/2009-cadillac-cts-v-general-discussion/237235-2009-cts-v-tsb-sticky-thread.html

Dude, the dealer will trash your headliner and misalign your sunroof. The TSB might give you the info to fix it yourself tho.

I don't have any sunroof problems. But then I don't have a sunroof. Trade your car for one with no sunroof. That is one permanent solution.

If you're going to trash someone, I would suggest having your facts straight first.

GM sends a cease and desist notice to any large site that posts up TSBs, as they are copyrighted information. If you're willing to pay the legal fees to fight this in court, please contact the site owner and let him know of your generous offer and I'm sure he'll post up TSBs.

And your comment toward M5eater is totally out of line. Grow up- this is a forum for Cadillac owners, not a playground tough guy contest.

Actually, you can thank attorneys. If you are so inclined.

At least get it right Smackdown, sheesh, what a crappy insult. The reason there are no TSBs is due to GM, not the staff here.....

wow this thread went nowhere i really need some sort of advice or solution here. I was at a dealer earlier they said there are no TSB and nothing they can do. Typical nonsense

I think the advice for not having to live with Ultraview noise is try lubing the rubber and then trade the car for one without a roof...
[I bought a car without a roof in large part due to these threads- Consensus being that while most roofs are fine, if yours starts making a racket you're pretty SOL.]

Did you try a different dealer? If so, next step would be Cadillac Customer Service.

The TSB# is PIC5267A - Jan. 8th, 2010. Document ID 2380963 on their GM service system.

Subject: Various noises from the sunroof area.. If you dealer can't find it, they probably suck.
