: I finally found the source of that horrible squeeling suspension

This hard plastic piece that clicks onto the top of the shock rubs against the bump stop. I removed the plastic cap and cut down the first rib off the bump stop. The sound is no more.

I've got News for you stock cars have this same contact noise under suspension compression and heavy breaking. Lowering the car made the situation worse. The typical mo for lowering a car is to cut the bumpstops, but most of us didn't do that step. I measured the ride height I'd the car after it was lowered. I removed the wheel, spring, and shock dust cover. I placed a jack under the brake rotor am chassis then set the car to that measured height. It was obvious where the noise was coming from when insaw the contact between the bumpstop and plastic cap. The type of squeal even made sense given the material that the bumpstop is made of.

I cut the bumpstop and removed the cap. No
More squeal.
