Ok so i just finished replacing the power steering pump on my 05 STS V8. everything was good for two days but on the way home today i hit a pothole on the freeway and my check engine light came on. So i stopped at the nearest Advance Auto to have them run the code and see what it was. The code came back as the Crankhshaft Position Sensor. It said there were 4 but did not say which one was bad.

After talking to the manager there she told me that its posible that it was loose and when i hit the pothole it caused it to come unplugged or loose enough to throw the code.

The problem i have is i cant find anything to tell me where they are all located. I found out what they look like but i dont know were to start looking for them.

Any help would be much appreciated.

My '06 Service Manual shows one CKP sensor; it is under the intake manifold. Appears to be center engine in the intake galley.

I'm wondering if they read it wrong them. I'm going to stop and have them check it again.
