Hey guys(and ladies), New to the site and need Some Help! My 03 SeVille needs Head Gaskets. Anyone know of a reputable shop that does them near Southeastern WI? Im located in Racine-Kenosha area but will travel a little for good work. I've been reading and see the 'Timeserts" are the way to go and the two dealers I called said they only do that if the threads are bad. I'm Under the impression they should be done no matter what. I know it's an expensive repair so id like to see my options and have it done right. The cars is in beautiful shape with only 41,000 on the OD so i would like to keep THIS engine and have it fixed correctly. Otherwise I'm not sure what to do with it. Anyone with any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance, James

you posted this in the wrong forum sub-section
this is for 2005-2012 STS vehicles

you should post this in the Eldorado/Seville forum

maybe a mod can move it for you

as for your question:

Timeserts (BigSerts) are the way that most dealers will go
That was GM's fix - and if you install them correctly there won't be any problems
we've done thousands over the last 10+ years with almost no problems

the NorthStar Performance SureGrip Stud kit is the best solution and most forum members here will agree with that statement

ALSO: are you sure it's the headgaskets? did you do a block test?
