I found a sts v hood but it don't have the chrome trim that goes above the grill. Will the one one off mine fit on it? Or will I have to buy one that fits the stsv hood?

The answer is probably on here but I was to lazy to look haha

From my swap to V hood, the only thing I found that was different is the way it is fastened to the hood. The normal hood seemed to the flat clips, whereas the V hood used round ones.

Part number for stock and V hood molding seems to be the same: Not quite sure what the difference is between DY and DX

25816853 MOLDING,HOOD FRT. Required: 01For: DY (2008-2009) (2008 - 2009).
15214151 MOLDING,HOOD FRT. Required: 01For: DX (2006-2009) (2006 - 2009).

What websites do you use to find the hoods?

I found it on eBay for 800 bucks plus 150 shipping I'm trying to see if I can find them cheaper some where else if not I'll just buy it from there.. The v hood just look so much cleaner in my opinion

This is what I use to find part numbers.

I found my V hood brand new surplus from American Dismantlers out of Detroit. I paid $540 shipped. Check Car-Part.com and you can typically find some salvage too.

They had a few of them available in silver and black. Call them and find out.
