I am relatively new to this forum and have noted references to "V2"....what does the "2" mean? Thanks, Marty

Some people refer to the 2009-up CTS-Vs as "V2", since it's the second generation of the CTS-V (first generation was 2004-2008). I guess it's easier than typing out "second generation CTS-V".

Thanks for the info. Sounds logical.

One more detail. There was no 2008 model year for the V series. It jumps from 2007 to 2009.

The V2 designation is correct in that it refers to 2009 and up CTS-Vs. There was no CTS-V in 2008. V1 refers to 2004 to 2007 CTS-Vs.
