Same here. I spoke with MReiland who works for GM and I still haven't had a response yet from the gm techs. It's pretty frustrating that the 2011 turbo's get the update but us 2010's do not. It really aggravated me today when I was going up a hill at like 20 miles an hour lugging in like 4th gear at 1500rpm and the motor just wouldnt downshift to a lower gear.

I have the 2010 non-turbo FWD and got he transmission update. It fixed the problem of which you complain. I was having it too.

Razor.........2011 turbo's transmission "fix" or no, your 2010 turbo isn't downshifting as it should and should be treated on its own demerits by the dealer. And you shouldn't have to give it a lot of accelerator pedal to get it to downshift under load on a hill, even with the adaptive transmission.

If you just ask for a tsb adjustment by the dealer, you will get stonewalled. But if you have an actual malfunction, and it certainly sounds to me that you do, the dealer has to recognize the obvious symptom, honor the warranty, and fix it. No?

If it were me I would

Well my dealer is great. They checked the tsb for my VIN. Said it didnt apply and when they test drove my 2.8t they couldnt find any problems. Thats why I went the route of pm'ng a member of the forums who's with GM. I have yet to hear an update on the issue but I'm sure they are working on including the 2010's/my vin. Atleast I hope they are. 300hp/300tq should not lug up a small hill because the trans is having bipolar disorder

I agree, should not lug. I like to go along with the service writer for a spin to demo issues when I drop the car off for service to make sure he and I are on the same page (wrong gear). That cuts out all of the "could not replicate issue" back and forth. The service ticket will indicate the service writer went for a spin with you and his own words will confirm your observation.

I wonder if we will be "forgotten" having a 2010 2.8t seems like we've been left by the side of the road

^ thanks for the offer but things seem to be going in he right direction. Thanks to MReiland's help and my dealership I'll be taking in my 2010 srx turbo this week to have the calibrations re-programmed. This would mean an engineer from GM should be out there to see what the issue is. After that it will only be a matter of time before all 2010's are included in the transmission TSB that the 2011's are already in... This is perfect timing since winter is coming and I want to make sure the car feels predictable on throttle. I had a very freakish incident this last week. Pulling out of the gas station the car was lugging so bad in first I had to apply 60-75% throttle and what happened next was pretty wild. The car just instantly bucked into acceleration and when it shifted into 2nd gear the vehicle actually chirped the rear wheels it shifted so hard. Not normal behavior to say the least

55577300 994264C2 - New calibration for improved driveability.
55576651 5D2BC11A - Incremental Release RPR2.
55576364 C3AA65A0 - Incremental Release RPR1.
55575514 000024D5 - Engine Operation
These are for the tcm:
Calibration History for: Operating system
55575566 N/A - Operating System
55575285 N/A - Operating System
55573474 00000000 - Operating system

Yea when I went initially for the issue to my dealer they said they did find some recalibration TSB for 2010 2.8t's but it did not apply to my vin. Which the dealer agreed with me was very odd because if there is a tsb for 2010's and a tsb for 2011's than it means there is no "magical" 2010 2.8t's that do not have an issue. This should help get a tsb for all owners across the board regardless of vin #

most of the time when they have calibration updates there is usually not a TSB published. At times there is but like I said most of the time there isn't.

...sigh...the bulletin they thought they found for my car was for non-turbo....go figure. The good news is the service manager rode the vehicle and could def tell something was up so this will go up through the gm ladder now.
