... ps Randy, I posted in the hoity-toity group as well :)Hope you didn't tell them "we" might come, too.

j/k Yeah, I'm up for the 25th at Baker's. I was thinking (but hadn't acted on it) that we should try for the 18th with the 25th as a backup, but whatever. The 25th is perfectly fine! I'm in!

Work is taking me to Europe some time in September (hopefully around the same time as the Frankfurt Auto Show :) ) but if I'm in country I'll plan on attending.

Count me in! I'm just waiting on the soccer schedule for my kids. Hopefully the dates don't conflict.

I'm having my right knee replaced on the 12th, (3rd opp, 2nd knee this year) so I won't have the staples out by the 18th, but I'll be there for the
25th for sure.

Hey RonR, Nutz. GMBound,BigRon etc you need to send me your info for our list.

25th for sure. ...My first job was at a McDonald's in Pontiac. We knew one of the guys only had one leg, but we didn't know the details. The guy had a fantastic wit. One day, while we were taking orders at the windows (this was in 1966), Bob turned around and banged his knee on the drink machine. While he was wincing in pain, one of the guys asked him if it was his only knee. Not missing a beat, he said he had three "knees": his right knee, his left knee, and his weenie. We had tears coming down we were laughing so hard.

Hope all goes well, George.

We got our wagon yesterday. We are maybe 50 miles from Baker's. Hell yes. Where will everyone be?

We got our wagon yesterday. We are maybe 50 miles from Baker's. Hell yes. Where will everyone be?We've typically parked off the southeast corner of the restaurant in the past. People start arriving at 10 am for the car show even though it doesn't "start" till 2 pm ... it's very informal ... just a lot people bringing their cars to hang out. Restaurant itself is nice, and there's a Putt-Putt course across the parking lot if you bring kids. See you there.

Squirlz,

Weather is looking a little if-y, we'll be there if it's not raining.

Might be some showers. We'll have to check the weather forecast Sunday morning and see if we can get a few hours in the afternoon without any rain. 71 deg F will be nice, though.

I'm planning on being there ... assuming no rain.

Well we're going to miss it after all. Need to get some work done on the house.

No rain in forecast.

I will be there at about 1:00 at the latest, probably a bit before.

Weather was spectacular ... partly cloudy ... 75-ish deg ... very slight breeze. Couldn't have been better.

Five of us -- V6TA-MI, Detroit427, ronr, Den_93, and I -- showed up, and only two guys were able to park back to back with each other ... it was packed.

George, sorry you weren't able to come. You would've enjoyed it, so would have Mrs. Torxila.

BTW, guys, V6TA-MI was talking about getting a few of us together for some track time, maybe next spring/summer, at Grattan or Waterford Hill or maybe even Gingerman. I'm extremely inexperienced having only done V-Day I (in the rain) but would love to do it again. Stay tuned.

EDIT: Here're two pics showing about a quarter of the action. Den_93's car is just above the hood of the '55 ('56?) Chevy in the foreground.

Gratuitous pic of my car. Guys, not the legs ... my car ... to the left!
