View Full Version : Hotchkis front sway bar for '03-07 CTS or '04-07 CTS-V - $75 + shipping

I picked up a set of the Hotchkis CTS-V sway bars (1.25" front, 1" rear) in summer 2010. I installed both initially and put somewhere between 1000mi and 2000mi on the car, including some track time. I decided I didn't like the handling balance, so I re-installed the stock front sway bar and kept the Hotchkis rear bar. I used the Hotchkis sway bar brackets, bracket spacers, and longer bolts, so you'll have to source replacements for those. The Hotchkis bushings themselves are included. (Hotchkis updated the front bushing bracket design to make it stronger, and I've read that people who had the original style deform over time just called Hotchkis and were given the newer style free. So, you should be able to get the brackets pretty easily. The spacers and longer bolts you can get from Home Depot/Lowe's.)

You could install the front bar by itself to comply with SCCA Stock class auto-cross rules, or you could pair this with the Addco 2289 rear sway bar, which is 1" (just like the Hotchkis rear bar) to have the full set.

Both sway bars with bushings go for ~$400 on Ebay or through Summit Racing (Hotchkis part number 2280). I would like $75 + shipping (from 22310) for the front bar.

Do not send me a PM if you have questions or want to buy the bar. This thread has a REPLY button, please use it. I will see it just as quickly as if you PM'd me, and it saves me from answering the same question repeatedly.

I am intrested, I am contacting Hotchkis about the parts required for the install. Can you check shipping to 30312 and let me know. I need this for SCCA stock class so maybe you can save me some cash. I would like this to come in around $100-$125 total cost of install or I will likely just buy the set. I will only be stock class till my CPO warranty is up. Thanks for recycling !!!

Sounds like I will need $30-$40 worth of part to complete based on a quick call. Would you take $40 plus shipping? Paypal?

Just a rough guesstimate on shipping is about $20. (15#, 57x9x4" box) I'll shoot you a PM with paypal info.

(It's unfortunate that, unlike every other forum I visit, this one won't let you edit posts after a day or two. So, instead of me putting "SOLD!!!" right at the top of the thread, instead people have to read through multiple posts just to find out the part was sold.)
