I know compared to many on here, no biggie since it's pretty close to a base model, but I am proud of it. I hope the transition from V8 Northstar in my previous first gen SRX to this 3.0 V6 isn't too painful. I expect less power and accepted that fact to gain on fuel economy. This one is getting a trailer hitch put in next week and I will be towing a puny utility trailer with a limit of 1500 lbs so nothing too heavy it can't handle. I wanted a 2012 with the new 3.6 but none with the options or color were on the radar and I had already sold my 05. Other plus, I got a super sweet deal on the 2011 with employee pricing plus an extra couple grand off since it had been vandalised on their lot and since repaired. I went over it with a fine tooth comb and only found 1 small problem which I am sure they will correct. Otherwise perfect.

Nothing wrong with a 2011 luxury. You still have the looks and most of the bells and whistles of the new 2012. I would guess that platinumn Ice was teh most poopular color for the second gen SRx. At least I sure seem to see a lot more of them. If I were trading for a 12 right now, I would have to wait till it was back on the availability chart. Hope you enjoy your ride.
Enjoy your new Cadillac in good health!

Congats on the new ride, color is great. I too have just purchased (9/5) a 2011 Luxury addition in black ice matalic. I have to say I am a member of other forums including many Mustangs Cobra (99 Cobra over 400 HP) and have never seen people degrade previous years like here. More specifically the so called lack of power. The SRX is a heavy vehicle there is going to be some lag. I drove both the 2011 and the 2012 and the difference was not overwhelming. If you are looking for a performance crossover then purchase the Porsche or the X6. Once again best of luck with the new vehicle.
