Awesome! Now, that's the way to make a commercial to put the ignorant people on notice that Cadillac is the king!

now *that's* a commercial.

Did you check this one out next to the one above? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aM356biKD6A&feature=relmfu

Note that it's $556 for the day.

There isn't a day that goes bye that I look at my V and others and beam a proud smile, Americans designed, developed and built this baby! (I know engine is assembled in Mexico, but u catch my drift). The V rocks!:worship:

Swear I'm not bragging, yes I am....in 3 weeks I get to spend a full day, class, instruction and a V coupe at Monticello Motor Club. My wife and I donate to 1 charity, st. Judes...the club donated a day at the track event, and I was highest bidder. I can't wait!

the link at the end of that commercial is dead... cadillac.com/newstandards ?? hmmm

08-26-11, 05:25 PM
Glad I went with a V instead of blowing a quarter mil on a 458 Italia...look how much faster the V is on the track

That was completely excellent, have a huge smile on my face!
I had a guy in that 458 stop next to me and ask me about my V, he was impressed with the Lingenfelter badge too, thought it was hilarious!

Filmed at Monticello. One day I will get to track their full course. One day...

08-27-11, 04:26 AM
Should I feel special cuz I got the first comment on it? :P

They should of mentioned that magnetic ride control was first used on the Corvette in 2003.

But of course, the idea is to sell more "plebeian" Cadillacs and so one of the halo technologies and halo car are used. To mention a "downmarket" (chuckling--I'm only joking but hopefully point is made) Chevy would be besides the point.

They should of mentioned that magnetic ride control was first used on the Corvette in 2003.

To the best of my memory MRC was an option on both the 2003 Corvette and the 2003 STS, so there is no definitive "first" application.

From there the use at spread out to the SRX, XLR and 05 STS, then the 2007 Escalade and 2007 DTS. The CTS receiving them as standard equipment on the 2009 V series.

Great commercial! Yes, MRC was introduced first in the Corvette, but the "V" weighs 1,000# more, so MRC probably had to be tweaked significantly to handle the extra weight and higher center of gravity of the "V." It's a good thing that Cadillac and Corvette are now sharing performance knowledge.

They should of mentioned that magnetic ride control was first used on the Corvette in 2003.

The Seville STS was the first car to have Delphi Magnetic Ride Dampers.

Thanks for the link to the video. Very cool.

I got to spend a day at Monticello as well. End of the day the two instructors hopped in the Black V coupe and the V station wagon. The coupe took the lead and did some drifting through the turns. I was riding shotgun in the station wagon and one minute we were looking at the tail end (about 1 foot away) and the next we were looking at the side doors.

I smile with pride every time I walk up to my V, and every time I see these commercials.

The g-meter vid so needs to be televised, epic when they pan back to show the whole car!

Is there a trick to showing the max g after the end of a time period? I've only seen it run dynamically resetting itself after a sec or 2.
