What year was this introduced? Seems like it'd be possible to introduce it into the 00 to 04 Seville but no wiring diagrams. Would be cool to convert. It over. Id like to figure out if it would be possible to switch passkey and current keyless entry along with key to that system. Just a thought. Can't see why it wouldn't be possible with all the appropriate modules and switches
i am going back and thinking that 05 may have been the first year GM introduced it as a Factory Option
I seem to remember walking down the Emerald Ile at National Rent a Car and picked out a Pontiac Grand Prix was messing around with the remote and it started up right away not even sure how i did it and then looked further into it so i think that's the first year or right around there
you know your talking 2 different cars there the 05 sts is nothing like the 98-04 sts because its not a sts its called a seville sts or sls
so the wiring may not be the same
any unit that you get will have to be a aftermarket im better and wiring will be different
After Driving a XLR few months back a friend needed someone to drive him home from court or car would get towed he has a DUI
i loved the way the Push Button Worked just have the key in the car and push the button and it started right up
so i got into seeing about having one of those put in the seville
found a few places that did those aftermarket
lowest quate i got was around 800 dollars
highest price was 1200
That's not all that bad. I still think if u can get the entire system and fobs from a later model Cadillac it may work. It depends how gm setup the system. As modules that communicate to pcm or as an integrated solution built into pcm.
Sure will. Not too much a priority now. Lol. Got too many irons in fire. But def wanna look into it.
