I just bought a 96 STS and next to the controls for the sun roof is a button marked ASC, it turns red when pushed but doesn't seem to do anything else. There was no mention of this button in the owners manual. Does anyone know what this is? :confused:

I found the answer, it is an after market roof and that button when pushed lets the top stay open when you shut the car off.

It's white diamond with the chrome wheels. Shale interior. Ionly picked the car up Monday. I enjoy it a lot. The sun roof is done so well I didn't think it was an after market. It pops up in the rear as a vent or fully retracts , has a sun shade as well and the buttons look like factory install. The car has 74000. and looks and runs like new. The only flaw I'm concerned about so far is a tiny pit in the windshiel that has a hir line crack. I have to have it stopped before it grows. Got to go.

I kinda wish I had a sunroof...maybe next time. Love that White Diamond color - so rich and pearly! Again, welcome and thanks for signing up.

Take the windshield to a glass place...... IF its not too bad, they can fix it for next to nothing...... Otherwise, you might be looking at a new windshield.......
