: Second Cadillac and New to the Forums

Retired from IBM a couple of years ago and now living in Addison, TX. First Cadillac was a 97 ETC that I loved but it could not stay away from the shop. I have been going back and forth about a car like this one (2011 CTS Performance 304hp 3.6L DI w/6sp manual) or an earlier year, more miles CTS-V until I found this car and found out it was the last year Cadillac would offer this particular drive train combination.

My last car was a 1999 red Firebird convertible Trans Am with a M6 and the WS6 performance package. This new car gives so little sound and tactile feedback that I am having to learn how to drive it all over again. It also rides stiffer than I expected but it appears to handle extremely well; maybe as well as the Firebird did. I think I am really going to enjoy this car. There are some more pictures here.

Welcome! I really really like that fiberglass rear seat cover on your old TA. Badass for sure.

@MotownPimp It is the 304hp 3.6L DI V6 with a 6sp manual.

That is what I thought. Good catch on your part. Starting in 2012 you have to get the 3.0 or V to get a stick.

I suspect many potential stick guys have missed the train; it was not a widely publicized change.

Exactly. When I found that out, I pulled the trigger on this one. :dance:
