: How do you keep the rear differential light from coming on?

How do you keep the rear differential light from coming on? - That is a common question when CTS-V owners track their cars for extended periods of time. Regardless of your modifications, these cars will run hot in the differential when pushed to their limits either on the track or on the twisties. The simple solution is our D3 Rear Differential Cooler w/1600 CFM fan & high flow fluid pump. All of our components are rated to dissipate the heat even in the most adverse driving conditions and loads. The result is consistent performance and the assurance that you dont have to see that pesky "REAR DIFFERENTIAL OVERHEAT" light on your dash board as you try to explore the limits of the vehicle in heat.

Does the base cooler package contain the upgraded line set? If not, describe the standard and optional line set and state the price for the optional line set. Is it possible for D3 to offer a "factory looking" rear cover for the cooler? If not what is the difficulty level for an experienced fabricator to create? It seems almost impossible to procure a factory unit so a D3 unit with a shield would be enticing.

Yes, there is an inline thermal switch. If you want auxiliary power that you can control you can install a switch inside the cabin. This is what we do on one of our road race cars. The T switch will turn off once the temp goes back down to normal temps.

Please note that we only offer the upgraded line set. So any time there is an order it will already have the lines provided.

As for a custom cover, yes this is something we can do. But it would be custom and we have not validated that design on the racetrack. We have done covers for other applications that worked out pretty well however.

I just program the message/warning out of the cluster, but I guess the cooler is probably a better way to go LOL :)

D3, can you PM me a price on a cooler with a differential cooler cover (as close to factory looking as possible, powder coated black). Thanks.

LOL, yeah that would be pretty cool if it also got rid of the 300+ fluid temps that come with the light... We dont have fluid temp issues with the Gen 1 CTS-V racecar. Goes to show you the weight of these cars are pretty tough to bare.
