: Is anybody else's TPW getting pushed back on a V-Wagon?

I had an original TPW (target production week) of 8/8/11, which was then pushed to 8/15/11, and after a call to my dealer today, he tells me it's now 8/22/11.

Am I suffering alone, or does anybody else face the same patience-building exercise?

I'm not related to Job!

Any ideas what is causing the delay?

My dealer just called me this morning and told me my black diamond wagon just went into production. I ordered in July but my order did not get picked up by the manufacturer until August.

Hey, you cut in line! My order was acknowledged on 6/28/11. I wonder why you got made before mine? What options did you get?

Wagons are just starting this week. My TPW is 8/15 as well, but I've been told it will be finished next Tuesday or Thursday and I can be there to see it!

I spoke to the dealer on Monday 8/15. That was when he told me the TPW was pushed back. Did your dealer have new information yesterday after telling you on Monday that it was going into production?

No, I just asked for the order number today so I can track it on www.camarotracking.com

I had gotten the order number from him in July. Like you I found that website and have been tracking the status on the website you mentioned. Unfortunately the updates are not real time for Cadillacs. IIRC they update those once a week, so I heard that I had gotten pushed back when I called the dealer on Monday, but it didn't show up on camarotracking until today.

I'm at 3100 now. What's your status?

If yours is being made, it should be past 3100. Somewhere on the camaro tracking site are all of the production codes which will tell you exactly where it is in the process.

Here are the details of the event status:

1100, Preliminary order accepted
2000, Order accepted by GM
2030, Order re-edited (if necessary)
2051, Order changed thru Web
2500, Order preferenced
3000, Order accepted by production control
3100, Order available to sequence
3300, Order scheduled for production
3400, Order broadcast
3800, Order produced
4000, Available to ship
4104, Bailment Invoice
4200, Shipped
4300, Intermediate Delivery
4B00, Bayed

5000, Delivered to the dealer
6000, Delivered to the customer
9000, Order Cancelled

I'm at 3000, as of 8/16.

I was wondering how long, on average, it takes to go from 3000 to 3800 (built), and googling around I found this table:

http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=37081

It's for Camaros, and it's from 2009, but assuming ballpark accuracy, it should be 18 days (on average) to go from 3000 to 3800.

I have no idea how long preparation for shipping and actual shipping is, but perhaps others on here can fill in?

An average of going from 3000 to 3800 probably isn't applicable at the start of the production run. For example, I was at 3000 at 6/28 and then went to 3100 on 7/22. Then back to 3000 on 7/26 followed by 3100 on 8/6 and now at 3400 since 8/11. The TPW was 8/8 until the wagon start was pushed back to 8/15. Last nights update still showed 3400 and 8/15. Probably the better way to track the dates is from 3400 to production as vehicles move back and forth between 3000 and 3100. Ask your dealer to pull an "event history" on your order and send you a screen shot of it. As others have alluded to here if the status is at 3400 and the TWP isn't changing it means that the order is broadcast and will be built pretty soon. Since the GM computers next update on Tuesday the guys with 8/15 TPW's will have to wait to see! Bottom line, 3000 to 3800 isn't applicable on an average days now. There should be several data points of going from 3400 to 3800 in the next week which is a bettter indicator of how long the wagon should take on average. Since Camaro SS's run in much higher volumes I would discount that data.

I've been at 3400 since 8/10 with a TPW of 8/15. But I know for fact that mine will roll out Thursday the 25th.

I believe the VIN is produced either at 3800 or between there and 4104. My VIN is assigned although I didn't make it visible. The dealer :halo:vehicle invoice should be complete today, quickly followed by a shipment & intermediate delivery date. At least we all know that a V-wagon rolled off the line last Thursday!

4104 Bailment Invoice Created
4B00 Bayed ("B", not 8)
4106 Bailment Released
4150 Vehicle Invoiced (Dealer Billed)

I got an update on mine today, 8/25/11, saying that I was at 3400, and my TPW was actually pushed back to 8/15 (I had a TPW of 8/22 this morning before the update)...weird.

Did anyone else get an update?

Call your dealer This afternoon. Either the wagon is produced or they will reschedule the tpw and/or production status. I bet it rolls off the line any second now.
