The car is an '86 Fleetwood Brougham d'Elegance. I found it playing around on AutoTrader last night and am rather taken with it. Just wondering if anyone knows the name of the color? I'm wondering if I can sell my Explorer, or maybe trade it for it.

i think i've heard that color called colonial yellow?

Not sure if that's an original color for an 86 though. In the official paint color thread they only have these colors listed:

1986
Cotillion White 11
Silver Frost 12
Adademy Gray 15
Sable Black 19
Gossamer Blue 25
Commodore Blue 31
Aspen Green 43
Sage Green 46
Chamois 54
Burlwood Brown 57
Bordeaux Red 79
Sandalwood 80
Charcoal Firemist 82
Cranberry Firemist 83
Corinthian Blue Firemist 85
Desert Frost Firemist 87
Autumn Maple Firemist 89

EDIT: actually if you look in this picture:

it looks like chamois?

Looks like it to me. Thanks. I strangely like the yellow with the dark brown top.

I wonder if they would take my Explorer as a trade in...

Nice looking car.

I maybe in the minority but i have always liked cragar ss rims and white walls on RWD cadillacs.

They're not the worst thing I've seen on them, but not the best either.

I like those rims. kinda sporty looking. If you buy it and ditch the rims LMK. they'll go well with my bucket seats.
btw, the turn signals are the wrong color (leftovers from '85?) . and the hood ornament base appears to be from a fwb circa 1981. but other then that its one of the nicest fwbs I've seen, and the d'elegance package is a big plus IMO.
I'd buy it.

I've always liked that color on the big RWD machines. Check to see if its been hit in the front, looks like the hood ornament is off a standard base Deville from 80-84.

Chamois. More of a buttery tan than yellow. I'd be more concerned to make sure it was a 1986 than a 1985.

I love those wheels on the car....would like them for my 91...get rid of the spokes.

How much is the car?

Pshaw. If this deal goes down, I call dibs on the wheels, because I'm the closest and can drive to pick them up.

Your move, Cadillac Forum guys.

I like the color a lot. It's big, it's loud, it's unique. Perfect.

Guys, the car is on a lot in New Port Richey, FL. No where near Dalton lol. If it were closer it would probably already be in the driveway.
