Just an FYI. I just picked one up from American Dismantlers in Detroit for $540 shipped. They are brand new surplus from GM. I will receive it tomorrow and get it installed and let everyone know how it goes.

Also, I believe they have some silver and black left.

Let me know if you want their contact info.

Im really interested to see how it turns out. Can I get more info on where to get the hood. Also some pictures of your hood installed would be appreciated. Thanks

There is another thread with the installed pics. It is not painted yet though. I bought the hood through American Dismantlers out of Detroit MI.

can you still get these cadillac sts v hoods?

it's a straight drop in. I had it done after my 2005 V8 had a front end collision. Got my hood for $500 shipped from a salavge yard that had factory overstock just like mentioned above - the hood was brand new. Totally worth the effort!

If you don't change the front fascia, isn't there a gap above the grille?

I have an E&G mesh grill, so it's harder to tell. The car has a bigger then average gap between hood and front facia, but, honestly, it was like that even when it was all original and stock. Maybe it's a tad bigger now, but I really don't mind. The look is worth it.

And, with an exhaust installed, it really shows off the V-8 heritage :D

Nice color. What's it called? Gap looks about the same as my OEM:2thumbs:

Thanks. The color is called simply "Silver Green". Traditionally, a car that's described by "metallic green and tan interior" ends up looking less then good; not this time around - Cadillac nailed the colors. The combo is uncommon and unpopular, which is why I got it for cheap
