Quantities should be at the end of chapter 5 - at least they are in the 2006 book.
The '06 V8 requires 8 quarts. The V series V8 requires 9 quarts.

9 quarts in the V.
Should. Last. Forever.
Or until someone plays with the boost.... :stirpot:

For the 2005 STS A--- N Engine 4.6L V8 NorthStar engine.
It's on Page 5-104 and clearly shows 8 qts oil for the 4.6L V8 or 7.6 liters of oil.
Also look on page 6.12 for more Info: The mobile one they recommend has'
what we call the sheriffs badge on it or Starburst, In it says , "For Gasoline engines",
that means it may conform to GM Standard GM4718M. 5W30 Mobile 1.
Read oil spec to insure this !
Have fun !
No oil should be used if it does NOT conform to GM Standard GM4718M.
I recommend the Mobile One oil filter which has drainback valves installed.
After changing the oil it is recommended to reset the Oil
Life Monitor OLM to 100 %
