Decided to change th paint, best friend of mine beat me to matte black with his SRT8 Challenger. Came across the color from the "carbuzz" app, great app by the way. BMW using it on a select few of there M3. We darken up the grey a bit with a few grams of black to cut the silver tint down some, and came out with this color.

Once it's done, Its going back into Dallas performance for headers, and a bigger cam, removing the GT9 and putting in the Mayhem II Cam by England Green down in Houston. Brake calipers will be getting powder coated "booty blue" and the engine covers will be getting hydro dipped in the blue CF to match. I changed the headlights to 8k and fogs to a 8k led, and the DRL to led as well. Easy swap when the headlight is completely off the car. We done a very light coat of tint on the front headlights to knock that clear off, and they turned out awesome.

With all the added heat from the headers and 100+ Dallas Temperatures, the hood is getting some custom work to it to help feed some cool air into it. Here is a few before and during pics of the work.

My son was talking about doing the same thing with the hood; anxious to see the finished hood on the car. Are you screening the opening? One thought we came up with was using the same mesh as on the rear valence. I imagine that should significantly reduce the heat in the engine compartment.

that's still up in the air.. I want to see how I like it without it first, but I ordered some black mesh with almost the same pattern as the front grill just to be safe.

Love that color... If there are 2 colors GM needs to add it's one like this and a dark navy blue. Not 100% on the hood yet but it works on the Camaro so maybe? Keep updating!

I agree,... I wish they offered a blue color similiar to the C6 Corvette blue. That would look hot!

We kept the raise stock, if it becomes a probelm I going to go back, and add vents like the M3 on both sides of the rear part of the hood. Just wanted to start off with this. Too much to this hood and it looses its ridgity, and or looks like too much has been done to it.

Did you take before temp readings? Would be interested to see the gains or should I say loss of heat. Your as hot as we are down here and I too would love to drop some engine temps.
