: Supporting the website

Good day everyone!
I’ve been around this forum for a while now, still trying to put the money together to buy a 2009 CTS-V and I am pretty close to the purchase (about two months away).
As I can see, sometimes the site is down or slow and nobody is happy. I am a member of the Pontiac Grand Prix forum (http://www.clubgp.com/albums/albumview.asp) as I still own my 1997 GTP with the PCM tunned by Jesse (W4M) years ago (for CAI, pulley, etc.) and they have a section called Photo Albums. In order to post pictures (I think more than one) you have to “donate” some money (I paid $20 several years ago and my 21 pictures are still there, see under George Coman). So I think we can start the same thing here and maybe “tune it” a little like delete pictures after one year if you don’t want to pay again, limit the pictures number, or something like that. Start a poll and have couple of proposals and the members will chose. You cannot make everybody happy but that is the risk and I think it is a way of supporting the website.

George, while I applaud your efforts, I currently support the site as a 'platinum member"
The membership options are stated here: http://www.cadillacforums.com/subscribe.html

why not just post pix in the free "post pics of delivered V2s here" thread?

Thank you, George. I appreciate the sentiment as well.. As mentioned, we do have supporting member programs and a free area to post/host pictures as well:

We had some down time last week and a couple of very slow page-loading days as well - as a result of hackers in China trying to break in. That issue has been resolved and, as far as I know, things have been rolling along quite nicely since. The only place we're hurting at the very moment is the removal of two major ads within discussion threads (red boxes). Once we get a few vendors advertising in those spaces, we'll be back to normal.

A post like that can easily create civil disorder. :)
