Okay I was wondering from all the people that love cadies will a dual tail pipe look trashy on a 86 fleetwood it is something I have been looking into but never asked around what people would think of it. If you have this or have a pic please post! Thanks

I don't think it'd look trashy if they were done right, where you couldn't see them from the outside.
That said, you're probably better off just changing your muffler if you're just after better sound, from a cost to horsepower standpoint anyway.

I think you meant dual "exhaust" ---right?
They don`t look trashy. My '95 Deville has duals with chrome tips and it looks great.
My '78 Deville has just a single exhaust. When i can afford duals for it--i will get them.
Some like the exhaust tips visible--some don`t---personal choice.

Thank you for commenting I am after a better sound and more power that is the only reason I am doing it. Right now I am redoing the heads and the manifold so I thought that this is the best time now that I have it ripped down :) .

get a dual cat back setup. It'll sound cool and look cool (given you cant see the tips hanging out) -but again thats personal preference.

Thanks for the advice looking at putting this in http://www.autoanything.com/exhausts-mufflers/61A2895A0A0.aspx hope it will work well

Glasspacks will sound exceptionally trashy on a Cadillac.

Get different heads and intake. Get vin 9 heads and intake for a little more power. That exhuast is gonna be LOUD with a constant droan at any speeds. If you want loud, get that but you will lose torque. I like 2 inch tips sticking out an inch or two.

I personally like having the tail pipe kick out just before the rear wheels. It looks better on a coupe but the single pipe I have on my ’89 (I plan on doing the other side) looks pretty good. I have it set that you can’t really see it when you walk past, but it looks awesome at cold start up. It’s basically a straight pipe coming out of the catalytic converter, and it sounds great at idle with very little noise feeding back into the cabin at acceleration.

magnaflow will be a nice muffler.

^Those do have a nice rumble to them; I'll probably put duel Magnaflows when I redo the rest of the exhaust.
Here is how mine sounds with just the catalytic converter:

I will be running true duals with headers and 50 series flowmaster. It has a really deep rumble. I also removed the cat. I had just a single 50 series in there before and it sounded great. Not loud under throttle.
