Does anyone know what mods need to be done in order to install Zo6 Fuel Rail Covers? Tried doing it last night and thought they snapped right on :hmm:

When I installed my GTO FRC I had to cut off and reattach the mounting points to match our fuel rails. Took a bunch of trial and error but looks great.

I installed Z06 covers. I am assuming you mean the FRC from the C5Z? Those will indeed snap right on, however, you have to trim a couple areas for them to fit the V-specific LS6. And this assumes you have an 04-05 V. If you have an 06 or 07, then you need the base corvette LS2 covers, or the LS7 covers. Those will also require trimming, but they should snap on otherwise.

I don't remember. When you lay them down on top of the fuel rails, you will see where the interference is. Just trim as needed to get them to fully snap into place. Here is a picture of mine:

Here is what I did to install mine:
1. Trim a little
2. Test fit
Repeat steps 1 & 2 until there is clearance, then they will snap right on.

that's the way to do it.

I have an 07 and bought the LS2 fuel rail covers. From what I remember the left one (passenger side) snapped on without trimming. The right one needed to be trimmed to clear the power steering pump, and on the right one the corvette has a fuel line that goes thru the cover where it doesn't on the V (the fuel line is under the cover). So there is a hole in the cover. On the underside of the cover where the hole is there is a piece of plastic that needs to come off to clear the fuel line on the V. Once those are done the thing just clips on.

As I remember the C5Z red covers need the same mods, I did those a long time ago for my '05 V.

Good luck...

When I did my LS2 covers, both sides required trimming. The passanger side, definitely required a lot less than the drivers side, but still had to do some.

FYI, I tried 5 or 6 different tools (dremel, hot knife, etc) and a scroll saw with a high TPI blade worked best.

You'll see where to cut. I went through about 10 iterations of marking with a sharpie and cutting it out.

I put a picture here but it doesn't show where it needs to be cut:
