I have purchased LED switchback Turn-signal for my 2009 Cadillac STS 4.6L V8. I want them to run white while driving and amber when turning as advertised. Purchased from eBay, after researching many sites, two amber and white LED, and two 50W 6 Ohm resistor. Installed as instructed... No LUCK.. Try varies connections. They only run amber, they never run white. Has any ever successfully changes out?

You need to provide a little more information on the product you are trying to install. I'm sure there are hundreds of different gadgets out there and your post needs much more detail before anyone will likely be able to help. Perhaps a link to the product manufacturers site or technical documents?

Note the Corvette in the images, they use the same LEDs ( same Turnsignal lights).

These are the LEDs I purchased, along with two 50w 6 Ohm resistor from the same store. *Connect per the instruction found on the resistor page on the eBay store.

Where are you placing these on the car?

I should add that, if you are trying to use these as front turn signals, you will never get them to function as they do in the add. The STS was not engineered for a dual element bulb in the front. These are intended to replace dual element bulbs. They will work amber, but that's the most you're ever going to get in this application.

I am replacing the daytime running lights (DRL)/turning signal light in the front grill.

That's what I was suspecting. Unfortunately, they won't do what you want.

Well shot... Anyway to wire them to run white

To get them to run white, instead of amber, you would need to change the socket to one that supports a two element bulb. Ground would stay as ground, but then the supply wire would need to be connected to the new socket wire for the marker lamp feed. This would work during daytime operation, but then you wouldn't have any operation at night except for signalling. This would also be white.

To really achieve what you want, you would require the same socket as mentioned (supporting a two element bulb). Ground would of course be required, the marker lamp wire would need to be connected to the park brake lamp circuit and the signal light feed would remain connected to the existing DRL/Signal light feed wire. During the daytime, your DRL/signal lamp would remain amber. At night the bulb would be white, except when signalling (which would be amber).
