$500 deductible no less! I have $100 deductible for only $443/6 months. You must have baaaaaaaaaaad driving record; or are a youngin'.

07-17-11, 03:52 PM
It's under my parents because I have a "baaaaaaad" driving record. Lots of speeding tickets and even a suspension.

psh.. i pay $337 a month for two cars.. apparently i like getting it with no lube.. who covers you? im switching to them asap..

07-17-11, 06:10 PM
I pay 297 a month up from 73 dollars a month back in the states (clean record). Gotta love UK premiums. I honestly don't know why people even live here.

Gosh I hope this thread doesn't get locked cuz bad driving means violating the law lol

I moved my V from my Ohio location to my Kentucky address because Ohio won't give tax credits on trade ins so FU Ohio. Regardless Progressive in OH for both my V and my Hummer was $160. In KY alone for the V it's $205. It all depends on your location w any insurance.

07-17-11, 06:52 PM
i pay 550 for 6 months for my v, 500 deduct, and 250/500/250 limits.

my z is only 400 :D lol

smackdown, regardless who has your insurance under, ie parents, your record still factors into your price, tickets, speeding, and as suspension means yours is gonna be high.

You guys have it made, My total insurance bill for all our cars is about 7k every 6 months.... I can only drive one at a time........

07-17-11, 07:07 PM
Insurance cost depends on your age, location, mileage driven, citations and accident record, and which insurance company you use. Collision and comprehensive insurance will depend on the age and value of your vehicle.

07-17-11, 07:15 PM
They don't know my driving record nor have they checked.

07-17-11, 07:44 PM
Jesse from what I've heard about your stable, I think you'll have a tough time finding sympathy lol

I look fwd to seeing it!

07-17-11, 07:54 PM
Not that bad. I'm at $100/month with a clean record at 33 years of age. Really depends on where you live as my insurance went up a lot after moving from Ohio to Georgia. Probably has something to do with the higher rate of uninsured drivers.

$125/month would not be bad if you had reasonable limits. 50/100 is not alot these days.

no kidding. The insurance department I worked at threw 6 and 7 figure limits on claims around like it was childs-play. 50/100 is basicly fender-bender stuff, more so if you're in the NY area.

that said, mine with 50/100 and 100 deducts is ~$700/6 with 100 deducs. That's with an A6 Avant on it too.

Here is my yearly insurance bill for our 3 cars. I didn't scan the first page so what is missing is the Bodily Injury which I have a 250k per person 500k per accident and it's 96 for the V, 104 for the vette and 92 for the Insight.

07-17-11, 08:09 PM
I am with AAA and I pay $1000.00 per year with $1 million/$1 million coverage!

07-17-11, 08:18 PM
Surprisingly, my V insurance is less than my 2010 GT500 was. I guess a lot of yo-yos wreck their GT500s.

07-17-11, 09:25 PM
My Farmer's agent ballparked our upcoming 2012 wagon at $150-160 per month. Adding it to the policy with two 2005 MINI Cooper eSses.

07-17-11, 11:00 PM
my V (full coverage) and another boring car is $100 a month. 25 years old, ohio, with about ~20 driving violations (including my ticket of 111 in a 50 in the locked thread,) yet only 2 current points.

07-17-11, 11:52 PM
I pay over 6k per year for my V, SRT8, Escalade and Pickup with high limits. Stated Policy on my Typhoon is only about 500/yr through Grundy since its a collectable...

My most ever when I was about 20 or 21, I had leased an Acura NSX for 888/month but the insurance was 1200/month, was glad it was only a 2yr lease...

They don't know my driving record nor have they checked.

Unless you have some magical insurance yes they do. When I was still with my parents once a person turns legal driving age they "have to be" a main drive on a car. So then they also run that drivers record. So of the 3 agencies I have used it has been that way. Maybe yours is different, but insurance agencies are not idiots.

I'm not a registered driver.

I'm not a registered driver.

wow that's pretty brave.

They can deny your claim if they wanted to :( if you ever had an accident.

07-18-11, 03:14 PM
Not a big deal. It's very common.
I've had 1 accident many years ago when my car stalled out while reversing and tapped the bumper on another car. I could have said **** it and drove away, but I had my then gf at the time find the driver in the restaurant. Good thing I did too, since she could have held that over my head. Haha. Luckily the damage was very minor, only had a little scratch on mine and cracked tail.
The few accidents I had were the other drivers fault and I went through their insurance directly, mine wasn't involved.

07-18-11, 04:12 PM
That's cool.

I just happened to be on the phone with my agent when I saw this and was just telling you what she told me. I've been independent of my parents for quite some time now so even if I did have a liscense problem it wouldn't matter lol.

07-18-11, 06:05 PM
If I was under the insurance I wouldn't want to know what the premiums would be.
