There is a 2005 touch screen navigation unit on e-bay for a buy it now price of $1199.00 which is cheaper then what the old units are selling for. Allwest from this forum has bought and installed one from this vendor and is very happy with it. I just bought two of them and hope to have them by the end of the week. One is for my friends 2003 to replace his old Navigation and the other is for my 2004 which does not have a unit. I bought my Lade six weeks ago and intentionally didn't get navigation because I knew of the new touch screen units that were coming in the 2005. I was surprised at how soon these units became available.

If yours is that old you mise well just go after market. It wouldn't be compatable with any of your controls anyways.

How easily do these install into models that did not have Nav to begin with? They had to replace my radio in my 2003 Denali and I asked about Nav...the service tech said it involved much more wiring than just the head unit...that the harness was actually different.

Is this true or is it just a pop in?

Thanks
Jim
