Has anyone ever added a Panorama Sunroof to their Lade? I was gonna do one 4 or 5 summers ago, but they were very new then. I am really curious to know the quality and how risky it is to do an aftermarket sunroof... Does anyone have experience with aftermarket roofs? Any and all opinions welcome!

Well the SRX has a Panorama optional roof... however adding one to an Escalade... might be very expensive, to have it done correctly anyway. With a truck this large you need to consider a few things before you decide to cut a giant hole in the roof. Without having seen the roof without the headliner installed I'm making a few assumptions but I would bet there are more than a few structural supports hidden under the headliner. That said you would have to weld new structural supports before and after the glass panel to make the roof strong again.

Personally I'm all about personalizing your ride... but I would bet to do this right has to cost $6-10k maybe more like $15k if you have to have the whole thing made in a one off fashion.

Installing a sunroof is easy compared to a Panorama roof... that's a totally different animal.

And, the panaorama roof on my 06 SRX was nothing but trouble. Just saying....and that was factory installed and designed.

I thought the sunroof was a must have before but now that I have It i have never used it, dont realy like it. Plus last time we where having a some beers(ok more then a few)I show off the bass in my truck and was messing around with it I left it lifted up and some rain got in :(. Anyways now theres a water ring around the sunroof sliding door. Any one know how to clean up?

Be super careful cleaning the headliner....
