: Service TPMS after recall repair

Just had the passenger air bag recall done on my '10 CTS-V and on the way home I got the service TPMS message. It is the passenger side tires that are not being read.

I'll take it back to the dealer, but I'm curious if the TPMS issue is related to the recall work. Anyone else have this issue? I'm wondering if there is an antenna or something near the glovebox that may have been damaged.

What recall was done? Mine had the passenger rear TPMS but it's likely related to my wiring issues. There's a TSB for the wiring.

Try the synch method described in your manual. Perhaps they rotated your tires or something.

What kind of wiring TSB is there?

It was this recall:

Dumb question - Can the tires be rotated? Obviously not front to back due to size difference, but I didn't think you were supposed to move them side to side either.

I'll check the manual for the resync directions.

You can rotate side to side. Maybe the resynch process will work and save you a trip.

I'm not sure, I cannot find it. But I think I found mine!

My "service tire monitor system" comes on all the time! I had the dealer check it out while they were doing the same airbag recall work. He said he fixed it, but the message came right back on the same day. What a pain in the butt.
