How do you stop the clunk on a 2005 cts-v. I have searched the forums to no avail. Please Help. I am new to the V.

Basically:

1. Replace Motor Mounts
2. Replace Trans Mount
3. Replace Diff mount
4. Replace driveshaft
5. Replace Flywheel and clutch

That should resolve most of the clunk, but not 100%.

Or learn to drive around the clunk.

I never hear the clunk when I'm driving on the track. So, take it to the track and drive the snot out of it?

Don't worry about it too much, the clunk is one of two ongoing stories that everybody experiences with the V1's. The other is the diff blowing up.

The other is the diff blowing up.

Why "sugar coat" it?
