What would cause my 1996 Fleetwood Brougham to over heat? We have changed the radiator, water pump, temp sensor, thermostat, radiator hoses. We haven't checked the Fan clutch or timing. As far as I know the Head gasket is still good. There are no signs of a blown head gasket. We also do not know how to check or adjust the timing on this car. Can some one please help me.

When does it overheat? If it's only when the car is not moving, then the fan clutch is suspect. Do you have an external coolant leak?

Electric fans? They turning on?

Being that you changed the water pump and radiator hoses, there is a possibility that an air bubble is trapped in the system.

Disregard this. I thought I read 1986, not 96. You have electric fans. like csbukn posted, do they turn on?

If he has the tow package, he would have a mechanical fan. As mentioned, knowing under what conditions it overheats would help with the diagnosis.
