I am new to the CTS-V and this forum.

Just picked up a new 2011 CTS-V Black Diamond. Love the car.

I want to put some LED lights behind the Grille and was wondering if anyone has any tips for the cleanest way to tap into the daytime running lights for power?

Regards,
---Wayne.

Thanks for the legal (and other) "advice". I have reviewed the CA vehicle code and what I am planning to do is in fact legal.

If anyone has an technical advice for the cleanest way to tap into the daytime running lights for power, please let me know.

Wayne, do u want to tap into the fuse box? and run an array of LEDs?

What kind of LED did you have in mind? How is it configured? length wise or just bulbs etc?

More information might help.

Certainly.

It is a 10" strip of small LEDs. The strip has two wires (red and black). Red goes to a rocker that also has a red and black. Red on the rocker is fused and says it can be connected to any 12v source.

The fuse box is an option but I was wondering if there is a closer/easier place in the engine bay to tap into the daylight running lights. Thanks in advance.
