So I was driving my 05 V yesterday (82 outside temp w/ a/c on) and the Oil Temp warning light starts dinging... well I switch to the temp meter and its at 300 degrees! Then it goes down to 245 when as soon as I turn the a/c off.... the coolant temp is at 210... so I notice that the oil temp changes when i hit the bakes too... so im guessing its something electrical... can it just be the oil temp sending uniting?? has anyone
experienced this?? Oh and nothing else was acting funny either..

Thanks in advanced for your help!

it's common with these cars, you can get a software update from GM, install a star washer on the ground beside your hood strut, or, do what i did and snip the wire going to the temp sensor and say **** it.

That is your dummy light for your oil level though too. I prefer fixing something over snipping anyways!

I agree with CancerJCC, extremely easy to get in there and add a redundant ground off the connector to any nearby bolt, worked for me.
