I'm curious to find out how many 2011 Black Diamond Sport Wagons are out there among forum readers. How many of you opted for stick and how many got manual?

There's one at Sarrant Cadillac on Long Island. Automatic. Might have been purchased recently, as its not on their website anymore.

There is one in the back of Autoweek for sale.
I have one in Atlanta, 6 speed. I think I answered this before in a similar post by you or someone else.

The older post indicated around ten or so of the forum members had V-Wagons. Mine is Black Diamond and stick. People ask if my car is rare and I tell them that probably no more than 300-400 V-Wagons were built in the 2011 model year but I really have no idea how many were made and the factory hasn't released any production numbers yet. It seems that it take a good while for them to do so. Again I'm guessing that 10% were stick. I heard that the new coupe is running about 18% of total production as V's and the sedan around 8% as V's and the wagon around 12% of all CTS wagons built. I think that the V-wagons will be amongst the rarest modern Cadillacs ever built, maybe 300-400 built, and that 6 speeds will number no more than 30 or 40. That's a pretty lower number for any kind of car. That makes 6 speed V-Wagon owners either very exclusive or very crazy or perhaps both.

Agree whole-heartedly. I do think that BD is probably one of the more popular colors though. I'll bet you 95% of manual wagons were customer ordered, and frankly it took a slightly different customer to place that order. I think my black is an anomoly- I ended up with one of the handful of wagons that GM made to show off to the press- and they seem to have made one in each color, all with almost the same exact options: base (silver) rims, wood trim, suede, Recaros, and no roof.

In my searching I did not come across a single manual wagon that was a dealer order for stock- the 3 or so I found were all autos:helpless:, and 2 of those had base seats in them:nono:...

I will have one of the first 2012 BDs with a manual. I would have a wagon in my garage right now if I had been willing to take A) a Raven Black manual or 2) a BD automatic. After much deliberation we decided to wait, order and get exactly what we want.

You and I both. Dealer just told me it was an additional 3 week wait because of the Black Diamond Paint so now Im at 6-9 weeks.

To all of you exclusive crazy CTS-V Wagon owners, present and future, congratulations! I put over 3000 miles on my V-Wagon in my first month of ownership and I love it and drive it everywhere, even into downtown Chicago during rush hour traffic every so often. For those of you who have put in 2012 orders for the Black Diamond, I personally feel it's worth the wait. I really want a V-Wagon that was one of one but the only way I thought that was possible was to order every single option in the horrible Cadillac green that was available in 2011. No matter what my desire was for an absolutely unique V-Wagon, I couldn't pull the trigger on the vomit green. If it had been a deep forest green that would have been a tough decision. So, has anyone gone for the ultimate unique V-Wagon and gotten it with a six speed, and all the goodies in the terrible green? If so, you are one of a kind and I'd like to know all about it. Mind you, it can only be a V-wagon, no other V's allowed, for the title "rarest V built" in 2011!

I believe my Wagon might be the rarest built in 2011. I doubt there was another 2011 Red V Wagon factory built with black wheels since you can't order one that way. :) It is a stick shift as well.

I've ordered a standard CTS Wagon and a V-Wagon in the last two years. I found that both vehicles showed up on my dealers new inventory for about two weeks, even after I'd taken delivery. It looks like GM, or the computer system, maintains the "New Car Inventory" on the dealer's website.

So does this qualify as the rarest 2011 Vagon in existence? I actually sort of like the green, though I've never seen it in real life. I think the price on it is pretty fair. I'm a Vagon lurker/stalker, really thinking about ordering one or buying used.

That almost seems too reasonable given what non wagons have been going for used. Wonder what the story is on it... Given the options on it I'm thinking a GM event or press vehicle.

And yeah that has to be a pretty rare combination...

I drive by this car frequently, as I live near by. Has been on the lot since May when I purchased my sedan. Very good looking wagon, surprised it has not moved. I bet the right offer will take that wagon off the lot no problem, and yes, seems like a very unique history based on the car fax.

I asked them about the green wagon back in May. Back then they wanted $61,995 and were only interested in negotiating "By hundreds not thousands." So I passed. It's funny to see its down to $56,500 now. I would probably have been interested at around $58K or below, so they lost a sale.

This is what I was told, when asking about it:

"It has a manual transmission
It doesn't has an engine block heater
It has wood trim
The wheels are 19" painted aluminum
No wheel locks but you can get them
No Sunroof
Recaro seats and suede steering wheel
Condition is imaculate
It is covered under the bumper to bumper factory warranty until 11/24/2014 and the powertrain till 11/24/15.
It is not certified now but it can be.
The previous owner was General Motors. It was either used for special events or an executive was driving it.
If you would like to send someone down here to inspect it you can."

The green is really not that bad. I've seen it on the sedan. But it is even rare on the sedan.
Tint the windows, graphite wheels, and a dark grille and the green would be set off nicely.

Just got my v-Wagon BD edition 2011 (bought new) yesterday... Its automatic and beautiful. Traded my 09 C63 amg, need more space but wanted to have
something as fast and fun. I need to drive the car a bit more for my "full review". I love the exterior looks of the BD edition, interior is nice too but the quality of interior doesnt seem as good as in my old Mercs (caddy rattles a bit more and piano black trim scratched easy etc. I like the leather dash and LED light
tho!). More on the ride (gearbox, suspension, engine etc) later once I have driven it more...

Oh and Im driving in Florida near Ft Lauderdale...

lucky you, I had to settle on a BD sedan when I couldn't find any BD wagons in stock (didnt care stick or auto) back in august, and had a sedan an hour away. Still somewhat regret not being able to find one.
