Unfortunately my wheels don't ship until Tuesday......but Scott @ Forgeline was nice enough to snap a quick pic of the front wheels. There was some miscommunication and they used titanium fasteners vice the black oxide bolts I requested....they are fixing that for me now. Looks odd without 5 lugnut holes but should look sharp with the single centerlock nut. I'm itching to get these mounted:

Forgeline makes the adaptors. Pretty slick setup.

Ballpark price ?

With Michelin Super Sports, TPMS and wheels.....~$8K. I added a lot of options to the wheels in finishes, centerlock, etc.

so ~1,500 per wheel ?

Good looking wheel. Back when I first got my V2 in December of 2008 I stopped by Forgeline to see what they could do for our cars. Although they took the measurements from my 2009 V and the folks over there are super cool, I went with another company.

The best discount price D3 and Forgeline offered me was $5800 for the set of wheels. Centerlock is a $1600 option, then I had them "unhide" the hardware ($50/wheel), gold color, short stems, polished lips that are clear coated, satin black inners, mount & balance, etc, etc. I thought the price was fair considering the wheels I have owned in the past. My last set of HRE C22's for my C6Z06 were $5000. I like nice wheels....it's a sickness ;-)

I looked @ Forgeline in 2007 when I had my vette. I really like their ZX3R wheels but ended up with HRE's.

Love the Forgeline ZX3R's!

Cant wait to see how the centerlock option looks on the car! What sizes did you go with?

20x9 front and 20x11 rear. Even though a 12" rear will fit.....there are not a lot of tire options out there yet. I figured an 11" rear would open up my options and I really wanted the new Michelin Super Sports.

Are you going with stock width Super Sports? I noticed they had no service rating and were just listed as Z rated...

I'm going with the 285x30x20 in the rear. I would expect the service designation to be a 99Y like the 285x30x20 Ferrari designated Super Sport. I'm led to believe that the only differences (besides price) is that the Ferrari XL version is a 24lb tire with 7/32" tread depth. The tire I ordered is the same size but has 10/32" tread depth and weighs 27lbs. Pay more money for less tread....lulz. I'm pretty sure the Ferrari version is just a "shaved version" of mine.

I jusr received my extra set of centerlock lugnuts today from Forgeline. I'll have a set of black ones already.....going to have these anodized in some other color. Just not sure which color yet.

Super Blue? I'd boil that pretty quickly. Maybe...

Super Blue? I'd boil that pretty quickly. Maybe... I used Super Blue in my C6Z06 while tracking it at VIR........no problems with brakes and I hit 175mph many times. I'll never track my V so I know the brake fluid is overkill. But.....it makes it easy to add new calipers and flush until I see blue fluid ;-)

I boiled Super Blue in my V1 on VIR Grand back in '07. I've run Motul since then...

I would really consider a 305/30-20 for the rear... even a 295... but 285's are going to be pretty stretched over that wheel. Unless you really like that. What's the offset for the rear? an et33 for 11" rim i think would be perfect... especially with a 285 tire.

Those rims look sexy.. Always been a fan if forgelines. I have them for a bunch of my cars...

285 is gonna be waaaay stretched on that wheel!

Why not go with the PS2 in 265-30-20 & 325-25-20? That would be perfect on an 11.5" rear...

DoingOK

I agree.......it will be a stretch but not too bad. I would MUCH rather prefer a 295x30 or 305x30 but there isn't a Super Sport available yet in that size. I'll live with a slight stretch until they become available. I would also prefer a 30 profile vice a 25 so I can keep my overall diameter close to stock. I spent A LOT of time trying to find the right tire setup.....not a lot available that I was happy with. Michelin will have more sizes available (hopefully Fall or early Spring)

I'll see how it all looks together real soon.
