Anybody have suggestions carnut 10-15-04, 08:54 PM Possibly a sticking, binding T.V. cable . Attaches to the throttle body on one end, to the top of the trans on the other. Try removing it from the throttle body cold and pull out on the cable, should have slight spring tension and return when released. Also verify its adjusted by the book. Any good trans shop could do this if youre not up to it. Anthony Cipriano 10-15-04, 10:28 PM Has the transmission ever been serviced with new fluid and a new filter? Possibly the filter is starting to clog or the o-ring sealing the filter to the pickup is old and cracked and leaking air due to the pump suction. This can cause cold problems like you describe until the fluid warms up and thins slightly. If it's an o-ring seal on the filter/oil pickup the o-ring will soften up with heat and seal but not seal cold. Then, with the colder, thicker oil it'll suck air and lose the pump prime. Worth servicing the tranny with a fresh filter and pickup o-ring and new fluid before you give up. 92Seville 10-18-04, 10:36 AM thanks for the help, but let me further clarify the situation. I also losing major gas milage I'm at 15.1 right now. Also my check engine light comes on after about 45 minutes of steady driving, but I have no codes present. Do you still think its the transmission. My pops took a look at it and said it might be my fuel injectors, can anybody further elaborate (i'm trying to save some bucks :) | |
