I just ordered my HID kit for my Cadillac CTS and I am a little nervous. I have heard some vehicles can not support the power of HID's would this be true of a CTS?

Spec:

6000 K
75W
9006 size
5 year warranty
kit includes ballasts, lights, wires. Plus I ordered relay wires with it.

Will a 2005 Cadillac CTS have any power issues with this kit?

With the Cadillacs we have not seen any issues of power delivery. You will not need the relay hanrness.

Our kits include a lifetime warranty yet you have mentioned only 5 years... I'm guessing you didn't purchase from us?

John

No I did not purchase them from here. I am fairly new on here so I was not aware of the HID's on here.

I purchased them from hidgeeks.com

Will I have any legality issues with these installed (i.e. getting pulled over)?

You'll need to check with your local DMV or an attorney in that field as to the legal use of HIDs on the public roads. To my knowledge they are illegal if used in an aftermarket application.

Make sure your lights are aimed properly.

Aimed properly? How do I do that? Don't I just put them where the existing low beams were?

Of course they are not after market headlights. I am just "replacing" my pre-existing HID's. I should be fine. I just do not want pulled over because of it.

Your vehicle should have in the regular maintenance schedule to check the alignment of the headlights against factory spec. You'll want to make sure they are aimed within spec so as not to blind people and to be most efficient to you.

Sorry for the multiple posts. I had to get to five so I could post this link. I hope this kit works out for me.
These are the lights I purchased:

That looks like a DC kit as opposed to AC. DC kits don't last very long which is likely why the price is so low. I hope it works out for you but let us know if you run into trouble and we can get you a good quality replacement.

That is unfortunate. I will give it a try and see how they work. They do have a money back guarantee and five year warranty. They will still out last a typical halogen won't they? At least out last my Sylvania SilverStars.

I wasn't saying this to scare you - they look to be DC ballasts which typically don't last very long. I can't say if they'll outlive a halogen. However wax candles outlive Sylvania Silverstars so this should be an improvement over those.

Ok that is good to hear. How would I tell once they arrive if they are DC or AC ballasts?

They might say on the ballast. You can also ask the vendor which they should be honest about.

HELP!!! the "hidgeeks.com" that ordered from is allegedly a retail scam. I have read some reviews online and many people said they send you defective products. The phone number on the website does not work and they do not reply back to emails. I DID pay through pay pal so should I contact paypal?

The bottom line is I want my money back and I just want to buy a good HID kit. So please help me. I need the money back and then maybe you can help me find a good HID on here. Please and Thank You!

If you have made diligent efforts to contact them regarding this issues then PayPal has a dispute feature built in to protect you in a situation like this.

If you hadn't noticed we are an HID vendor on here. You can check out our website at www.sharphid.com. Many members have bought from us and have had great results! Our shipping times are now much quicker than they have been!

Already found the one I want: http://store.sharphid.com/product_p/shhdhid.htm

If I can get my money back through pay pal I will be buying these. Is there a warranty on them?

Pay Pal will be issuing a full refund in 10 days if hidgeeks.com does not respond. I got my light from them today and they sent me the wrong ones! I ordered 6000K and they sent me 8000K. I don't even want to bother taking my bumper off and all that good stuff just to see if they work

Definitely try to get the kit back to them as that is the right thing to do. If they don't respond then I guess they don't want it back.

John

Just order from Sharp HID. I see lots of guys posting issues with other vendors. Stay away from them. Sharp HID has treated me well so far. 4300K 55w slim ballast heads and 4300k 35w slim ballast fogs. Good prices, good response time. Money well spent so far.

That's what I am going to do once I get a refund. I'm looking for 55W 6000K 9006 HID kit
