Does anyone know of a way to add gridlines to the Nav backup camera display? My understanding is the non-Nav has gridlines in the rearview mirror backup camera display.

That would be nice, because with out the lines, it is hard to use the cam to back into a parking space etc.

The backup cam in the rearview mirror CTS is way better than ours.

Yes, my 3.6 L non-nav Coupe does have gridlines and the lines actually move abit according to where the steering wheel is turned. It is helpfull in backing up.

I'm surprised the nav CTS' don't have it.

My wife's '11 Equinox has the grid lines. Like it a lot.

The SRX Crossover has the grid lines and they move with the steering wheel inputs.

That would be astoundingly helpful.

Not GM, just Cadillac is slacking. I picked up a '11 Buick LaCrosse CXL shortly after the '11 V-Coupe. I was stunned the first time I put the Buick in reverse and saw the grid lines on the Nav screen. WTF, Caddy is supposed to be the premier GM division but my Buick is better equipped than my V (it has the HUD display too). Those grid lines are pretty accurate too!

I just can't believe that the brain trust present here can't figure out how to adapt it from an SRX or a non nav CTS!

Yes, indeed. This Forum idea has some productive substance.
I have been posing this question to myself for some time.
Could I superimpose some sort of guidance grid on the Back-up View?
Most certainly an upgrade cross-programming would be quite accessible across GM Division Systems.
Who do we contact to initiate such an obvious improvement?

The grid lines on the SRX Crossover move with steering wheel inputs. Can the Nav unit be swapped out with the one in the V?

Does anyone know if the 2012 models may have the updated NAV/cam software with the grid lines? MReiland or anyone else from GM?
