Is the 427 going to be a new block, or bore out the current LS6? Also do you guys offer a more radical cam for any of your 427 packages?

Hi Nick -

We do bore and re-sleeve the existing LS6 block, utilizing the Darton modular sleeves. We can build the same engine utilizing a C5R engine block if you prefer, but at these power levels, it really isn't worth the extra cost.

We do have another more radical cam available, which will make a lot better power, but it is going to have a more "lopey" idle, and probably won't pass an emissions test. We have used this cam in 427 N/A Corvettes and seen about 495RWHP

Down here in Florida there are no more emissions tests, and I would prefer the "lopey" feel and sound in a 427, so those are good things.

Not to hijack this thread, but what type of rear wheel numbers is a person looking at with the $7,000 head and cam package??

It would depend on which camshaft we use, and how smooth you want it to idle. I think a safe bet would be anywhere between 380-420RWHP.
I also have our engineering dept. working on this and should have a more definate answer by the first of the week.
