been having probs first distributor wasnt secured down car ran but had issues. tighten distributor down. then found out vacumm lines wasnt connected to vaccum advance replaced and fixed theat. Now today i drive the water light came on and stayed radiator full, reserve full, upper rad hose hot and vaccumms. Help what could be causing that please help?

Is the timing correct? Maybe the thermastat isnt opening.

Yeah, if timing is too delayed it will contribute to overheating. Try to advance a little the distributor. You can also take thermostat out of circuit and try running the car without it; a new one is very cheap. If overheating goes on, maybe you have to clean cooling circuit with a specific cleaner. IŽd do it 2 cycles at least, until you get practically clean water out of circuit. Refill it with more coolant than water and try again. If overheat still goes on, you should take your radiator to a specialized shop to get it thoroughly cleaned and inspected, as it could be full of dirt, rust, scale or even partially clogged.
