Based on your experiences, about how long are your brakes lasting? I know it varies based on driving conditions, but I want to get a rough estimate based on peoples' experiences.
I would also like everyone's opinions on weather you use the fully synthetic or the Dexos semi-synthetic oil. Thanks!

I use FULL sythetic , not a "blend" like dexros. Blends are about 80% Dino oil, 20% synthetic. I need 7-9K miles on oil changes, with maximum protection, so it's a no brainer. For 2011, I'd let Caddy do it for the FREE maint program :-)
No idea on brakes, but I fear 35K front, ( just a hunch based on GM truck/crossover exper) max, so I use Manumatic quite a bit to downshift.....

Thanks for the reply. 35k doesn't sound too bad.

Keep in mind that dexos1 is both GM's current spec for automotive engine oils (dexos2 for diesels) and their "brand" name for their own oil. As a spec, dexos doesn't specify a basestock (synthetic or semi-synthetic), but it can be met with a semi-synthetic, thus there will be both semi-synthetic and synthetic oils on the market that meet dexos1 specs. GM's brand is probably a semi-synthetic.
AMSOIL offers three levels of oils, all synthetic, meeting this new spec. Listed in decreasing order of performance/cost (mostly relating to the amount of additives for longer life):
AMSOIL Signature Series 100% Synthetic 5w30 (http://www.c66racing-synthetics.com/Product%20Bulletins/ASLPB.htm) (Product Code ASLQT)
AMSOIL XL Synthetic 5w30 (http://www.c66racing-synthetics.com/Product%20Bulletins/XLFPB.htm) (Product Code XLFQT)
AMSOIL OE Synthetic 5w30 (http://www.c66racing-synthetics.com/Product%20Bulletins/OEFPB.htm) (Product Code OEFQT)
The last one, the OE 5w30, is rated for OEM oil change intervals and is very cost effective. And, I'm happy to get forum members AMSOIL products at dealer wholesale, about 25% below retail, via the AMSOIL Preferred Customer Program (http://www.c66racing-synthetics.com/Preferredcustomer.htm). Drop me a PM if interested.
