Has anyone here seen, used or have the power folding mirrors? I'm looking for a picture of the control on the driver's door.

It's an export option only.

Yes, for now :)

I know there are a few members in European coutries that I'm hoping can respond.

I have my usual research to do first, but I'm sure thinking about it.

So in doing a little more research, this will probably turn out to be cost prohibitive. I did a little checking today and it seems that the cost of both DL7 power folding outside mirrors together is very close in cost to the one piece of wood trim around the window switches/mirror control. I can get this at Cdn wholesale, but even at that, the trim piece alone is $690.00. I would also require the switch assembly (about $200) and the mirrors. This doesn't include the painting required to match the body colour.

I'd sure like to be part of the inner circle when it comes to figuring out how GM decides which cars have each option. Everyone speculates, but I think it would be interesting to actually understand their logic. So far, it's a mystery to me. Not that I don't feel the DTS should have power folding mirrors, but why an option like this is offered on a European STS and not North American. I get the rear fog lights, but this is a regulatory requirement which doesn't exist in North America. Mirrors... have to scratch my head on this one.

Was able to find two pictures of the front doors of European models:

Thank you for taking the time to post these. Now all I need to do is find an english speaking, European auto wrecker willing to ship to Canada... You wouldn't happen to know of any? :D
