If you are talking about the Lockup Torque Converter Clutch, then you don't need one. The TCC only makes the car (slightly) more fuel efficient by eliminating slip in the driveline. For this reason it also helps the transmission to stay cool; the slippage generates heat. But the TCC usually isn't applied for very long at a time and most of the cooling is done by the transmission cooler. So having one would only increase your economy by about 1-2 MPG.

Ok cool thanks, so no need for a lock up kit, a oil cooler for the tranny maybe?

unless you live in the mountains or plan on taking long trips through the mountains hauling alot of weight (either on car or towing a trailer) an external trans cooler isnt needed. if you just plan on driving the car around town and on the occasional road trip it'll work fine without one.

I agree with myself...

Go to a small, family owned transmission shop, and ask them. Make it clear that you will be installing the kit yourself so they won't be biased on trying to sell you a TCC, and they will probably give you an honest opinion.

I agree also, just pop it in. That stuff isn't really needed, just nice to have.

The front seal goes in the front of the tranny after you take the converter off, it is a one piece seal and might be called the front pump seal. The rear seal(not sure the official name) goes in the back around the hole that the driveshaft goes in.

No, the rear main seal goes on the end of the crank in the engine block.
