So, I just bought a 2000 Deville which has the UX8 RPO. To my understanding, this is supposed to be an 8-speaker system. But, I only count 7. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I count 2 a-pillar tweeters, 2 front-door speakers, 2 rear-door speakers and a rear-deck subwoofer.

Also, what size are each of these so that I may replace them. I'd also like to install my two Kenwood 12's, which pretty much requires an aftermarket HU. Any obstacles I should know about here?

OK, so it appears the eighth speaker may be in the center of the dash. Even still, I need to know the sizes of all speakers, please. Plus the other stuff I asked.

Would I sacrifice a lot of bass if I just used a LOC from the factory sub wires to my external amp for my 12's?

Not too much of a difference but you're probably better off doing it like that too. The factory radio is controlling lots of things which is why you don't wanna mess with it too much.

So, I plan on getting a set of components for the front. I intend to use the factory mountings for both the woofers (doors) and tweeters (a-pillars). My question is, if I will be utilizing the factory amp, can I just use the factory wiring for both and not worry about the provided crossover? I'm assuming here that the factory amp has a built-in crossover for the tweeters. If this is not ideal, how should I do it?

Also, my car's speakers are as follows:
Center Channel 3.5
A Pillars 2 inch
Front Doors 5.25
Rear Doors 5.25
Sub 10
