The C70 gets more gorgeous every year, and I love that it is a complete underdog in that market. You don't see them all over the damn place and that's a GOOD thing.

You get a coupon for one mini Facepalm for that hideous Hawaii sticker though.

I didn't even know this car existed and my feelings at first view are mixed. In the first and second pic the car looks......blah! The next 2 pics are better and the back end is it's strong point. It's different and I like that. The seats look great but the dash looks Hyundai imitating Lexus imitating Mercedes, lol, you get the idea. It's a cool looking car overall but I would not trade a CTS-V for it (tell me it's just as fast and I may change my mind).

The interior follows a Swedish minimalist theme, a very good thing as other manufacturers get more obnoxiously ornate.

I like Volvos. I don't love them, but I like them. At the dealer I work at, we've got an '08 S80 3.2 on the used car lot, and I always enjoy that car...it's seats are AWESOME...supportive, yet soft. And the rest of the interior is very relaxing and clean, which is very unusual in the luxury car market nowadays. When I was replacing my Benz in the summer of '09, I drove a 08 or 09 C30 and really enjoyed it for what it was...it certainly had the nicest interior of the sport hatch market, and it was quite comfortable to drive, but was rather uninvolving compared to a GTi or what have you.

Boxy but good.

I bet that doesn't have massive parade clunk.

Great looking car!
I would lose the HI sticker. In Europe, the stickers are mandatory for cars crossing international borders. Over here they are superfluous.

Friendly Volvo just wants to greet people behind it.

With all the new black Volvo C70's roaming around Kentucky th HI sticker lets you identify your own car at a glance!

I'm drawn to the "floating" center stack...and that leather looks really soft. :)

By infants from infants?

Peter Griffin: When did they change the meaning of "for" to "from?"

Guess the number of child car seats that have come standard Volvo wagons will have to be cut fro m two to one!

Well, Volvo has been lemoned. Spend the last 10ish weeks trying to sort out an electrical gremlins. BLIS ( blindspot cameras) system was showing error codes for no reason. Push button start also occasionally had long crank like no fuel being held in the rail. Was supposed to be all worked out a couple of weeks ago so I went to pick it up and as soon as I pull out of the bay the airbag message comes in. Tech runs code and drivers side airbag and side curtain both show defect so they think its narrowed down to the door. They extended the warrenty to 100k free and gave me the option to lemon it. Since its the wifes daily and she is now preggers I'm going to lemon it and find something else. I would like to keep her in a Volvo so we ate test driving a new S60R Monday. XC60 and 90 ate also options as well as an Enclave or CTS but a non-V CTS doesn't really interest me.

To be continued....

Too bad they don't make the XC90 V8 anymore. I second the suggestion of S80 or even a new body BMW X5.

I don't know about the brand new models, but the early 2000's S80 I drove had the most comfortable seats of any car I have ever been in. HIGHLY recommended.

I agree about the seats, Volvo has always the best seats in the industry bar non! The S80 seats from the around 2000 were the most comfortable I have ever experienced also.

I had a S80 loaner and didnt care for it at all. Volvo corporate is working with my dealer to come to a numbers deal but we did find what we want. The XC90 reminds me a lot of a Grand Cherokee. The S60 just feels a bit small and the XC60 just doesnt look good IMO. So....

2011 XC60 R. Its a Volvo exec car with 10,000 miles. I LOVE this thing, totally decked out with every option Volvo offered in 2011. If the numbers crunch we should pick it up Monday...

The XC90 reminds me a lot of a Grand Cherokee.

Trying to figure out why this is a problem... :hmm:

Also, the center stack in that XC60 looks awfully cheap with that tiny screen in that big plastic space. However, in this case it's the fantastic powertrain that counts, especially coupled with the practicality and utility of the XC60. I may consider one of these several years down the road.
