I just picked up a 72 Fleetwood with the 472 and 90,000 miles. I am curious as to the engine specs.

HP@rpm, Torque@rpm, Compression ratio, Cam specs.

This will be going in a 1987 Pontiac Fiero.

345hp@4400, 525@3000, 8.5:1. As for cam specs, I don't know. You might try looking at the #5 cam grinds from MTS (http://users.elknet.net/mts/page29.html) and read the paragraph there about them.

Oh yeah, don't trust the ratings... with a stock specs rebuild you could expect to see something along the lines of 275-280hp and 455-465 ft.lbs. on a dyno.

Net ratings, the above ratings are gross ratings

220 HP @4000

365 FtLbs @2400

8.5-1

And I too know nothing about the cam specs.

Actually, the torque rating for the '71 and '72 is 500 lbs/ft (gross).
