Lots of money put into what looks like a mildly modded truck that had an unfortunate encounter with a paint store. The interior is just plain silly.

Sorry guys, it was too horrible not to share. I hope whomever thought up that monstrosity is never allowed to have children.

An '89 Ranger is a pretty ugly truck. I look at all that paint as trying to hide the ugly but not being particularly successful.

Now that is a truly "schizoid" truck, I'd hate to meet its' owner!

Egad that's just horrible. What a complete waste of money on a hideous paint job! Currently @ $6700 and the reserve is not met? :pwn:

A neat 'idea' gone horribly, horribly wrong.

I just looked at it again and noticed a few more things. The dash is from a '94-04 Mustang and it has different wheels on each side. This truck took lots of time and $$$$ to build. I think it's worth $7 or $8k but I'd look too goofy driving it. With that paint job this truck had better haul ass so the owner can save face.

It's an interesting concept. I highly doubt anyone drives this; it's probably trailered from custom show to custom show. I bet it's not even street legal.

^Well, seeing how there's no headlight on the one side or taillights on the back, I'd be inclined to believe you!

That "headlight" on one side is painted on like NASCAR. IMO that is the reason this thing is total fail, you can't even drive it to your cruise in spot if you plan to stay after dusk.

I really don't have anything against Rangers, but that one is horrible.

rangers are my secret passion. I don't know if it because they're were so many in my family when I was growing up, or if it is because my first ride was a ranger but I just love them. Every generation up until 2011. I really want to get a clean first gen 86-88 (got to have fuel injection and an ext. cab) for my collection someday. I received my license in 1997 and since then I have had a ranger or a ranger based vehicle in my possession every year until I traded my last explorer in on my Ram. Not going to lie, I am currently looking for a ranger for a hunting/farm truck so I can keep my dodge out of the mud holes.

^ My first ranger Circa 1998 (the topper was only put on for this pic as I was trying to sell the pickup)

^ My favorite ranger, 2004 FX4 level II with a 5 Spd with the uber cool factory chrome shifter with glass shift nob V

^ My Dream ranger, a very limited edition 1987 Bigfoor Cruiser. These in 1987 were the coolest pickups at the dealership IMO, my neighbor had one, and it had all kinds of neat things for the time, like a rear window that rolled down, Marchall lights on rollbars (which was hot in the 80's) I would kill for one of these originals in good shape.

unfortunately since these are so rare, I am pretty sure odds are this is my Neighbors from when I was a kid, it was in the local U-pull lot in East Bethel (about 20 miles from where I grew up) a few years ago.

The first vehicle I got when I got my license was a 1990 Ranger XLT. It was bought brand new by one of my grandfather's neighbors. It was a one owner truck and was in near mint condition. The biggest problem was the paint was heavily oxidized when I got it. 3 coats of Meguire's Cleaner Wax took care of that and the truck ended up looking damn near new. The only thing I didn't like about it was the motor. It was the 2.3l with the 2 plugs per cylinder. It was miserably slow. I still liked it though, for some strange reason.

I had a $50 Ranger with a 2.3 and a 5 Spd it was owned by a skater kid and he used it as a rail for his skating so it had dents and scrapes in every panel. Still it only had 80K miles and ran like a brand new pickup. My Girlfriend at the time decided to paint it with flames after I painted it flat black. It was slow, and the tailgate was holding the box together but It was a great little pickup. The guy I sold it to drove it to North Carolina and then back again a few years later.
