You call up the phone funtion, the phone keypad shows up, you have a +/* key next to the "0" key, there is no problem getting the + sign, but how do you get the * to appear and funtion? It has stumped the dealership and Caddy customer service so far, I know one of the smart owners here will know this one. :)

If it's stumped you, and you own 376 Escalades...do any of us common folk have a chance? :D

My voice mail requires a * to get into it as well. I'll have to give it a shot.
I normally do this directly from my iphone when i'm connected through bluetooth.

Ok, I tried this out on the way home from work and here is my assessment:

1) If you press the */+ button before you initiate a call (pressing Call), then it uses a +.
2) If you press the */+ button after you initiate a call (pressing Call), then it uses a *.

I was able to dial-up my voice mail system and press * to get into my menu system. Everything worked as it should.

I guess the only thing you can't do is do something like *67 which would require a * before the initiation of a call.
And I'm not sure in the phone world, what the + sign is used for anyway.

Thanks, but I do need the * before the call, that is what started the whole problem, there is a big GM event at a local Chevy dealership today and someone from GM wants to look at the problem I am having, will report back. Yea I don't have a + on any of my phones except the Escalade. :)

We picked up a 2010 ESV Premium in November as the new Snyder family truckster. It's been pretty nice.
Yes, lets definitely meet up for lunch again soon. I'm meeting Rick today...i'll bring it up.

I am also working on getting this information myself. Hopefully I'll be able to get a process back for you pretty soon. I hope we can get you an answer soon.

I was able to check out a few different vehicles and their navigation systems to see what I could do to get a process for inputting an asterisk for you. I was unable to get an Escalade and therefore was unable to find a way to type in an asterisk but I was able to get a couple of other ways to get the asterisk into the phone number. You could either do it through hands free calling and use voice commands to do it or you could save your voicemail box as a contact in your phone and use it that way to make a call to check your voicemail that way. I hope to be working on this again on Monday but hopefully you'll get your answer sooner!
