: Lowered Wagon on Eibach Pro Kit springs - Pics inside

I finally got around to installing some Eibach lowering springs on my Wagon today. I trimmed the fronts a tiny bit more than 1/4 coil. To be exact, I cut 5" (as measured on the outer portion of the coil) off. I think I may take the fronts back off and trim a little more if they don't settle some. Tell me what you think. I drove it about 10 miles around town and back roads, and so far I really can't tell that it rides much if any different than stock.

Here are the pics. They are all 1280 pixels wide. If you don't see the full size, right click on the image and open it in a new window.

looks great...def looks so much better...need to get my ass moving on springs. So is this the first non-coupe Eibach? since i know the springs are considered only for coupe.

Thanks guys, I love it. It's the first non-coupe Eibach I know of. Surely someone else has tried it? I need to go take some "after" measurements and see how much the front and rear dropped. For some reason it looks to me like the front isn't dropped enough.

I think it looks awesome. Wish mine would go up the driveway with it being that low. It already scrapes a bit. Yours looks great.

Thanks. Does anyone else think it needs to drop another 1/4" or so in the front? You can see in this pic it appears the front isn't as low as the back.

lose the CTS badge, get the vents, the chrome trim on the trunk and rear bumper as well as the piece of chrome on the hood painted body color. have the fog light rings and Vs wrapped in matte black vinyl and it will be unreal.

Looks great and I think it will settle to be perfect. How does the ride compare to stock? Does it ride like it did stock in sport mode?

Your reading-fu is weak...

From the first post. "...so far I really can't tell that it rides much if any different than stock."

You can still feel a difference between touring and sport mode. It's possibly a tiny bit firmer than is was with the stock springs, but it's barely perceptible.

Car looks great. I love the blacked out window trim. Cadillac should offer an option for this from the factory a la BMW's "shadowline" trim.

One thing I do miss about Arkansas- you do have some pretty scenery to shoot car photos!

Hold of on dropping it any further- see if it settles.

Did you window trim come in black? so not fair!! I wish mine was that way. Even though the black out tape looks good.

that is true...bmw offers shadowline trim (which most want) and performance suspension (after-market) option for most models.

Thanks again guys! The weird thing is that measuring from the ground to wheel well, it's a quarter of an inch higher in the front. If you measure from the ground to bottom of the side skirts, it's a quarter of an inch lower in the front. :suspect:

I see what you are talking about. This (my V) is the first car I haven't bagged to make it lay frame. It is the obsession to go lower.

a little more in the front would give it a nice aggressive stance..:yup:

Bringing this back from the dead. I need a verification as to exactly which Eibach springs were put on this beautiful wagon before I order them. Coupe or sedan? Part#?

Those Eibach spring you have are the 0.6 and 1.1 inch front/back respectively?

Caddy Wagon, do you have any pics before cutting 5" off front and did you cut the rears at all...wagon looks sweet man!

I believe he did his research and cut the fronts 5" before install...
this wagon is featured on the weaponxmotorsports...
I believe he also mentioned they are the coupe springs.

I've read elsewhere that if you wait it out, the fronts will settle on the coupe springs on a wagon/sedan and will even out.

Remember, you also have a taller front tire from factory, so the front not being as low will always be the case unless you go bigger rear or smaller front tire. I have this same issue with my S2000...
I think it looks perfect. I'm leaning toward coupe springs and patience for my vagon.

I previously had an '05 CTS-V that I had purchased new and ran on the local NorCal tracks for three years, then turned it in - have missed that car ever since.

I am looking around for a low mileage, manual transmission '12-'15 V2 CTS-V, either sedan or wagon and have a couple of questions regarding this beautiful dropped wagon:

The OP says he cut 5' off of aftermarket (Eibach) springs? Is that correct or is it supposed to be 0.5"?
What tire sizes are you guys running? (On lowered cars) When I ran the 19s on my '05, they were more than 20s at the time. But I want some sidewall as it will be street beaten driven.
Are those stock (19") Caddy rims?
Someone posted in this thread earlier that they did not want to use the D3 units - Does anyone know why? Don't they sell Eibach's?

Thanks!

Gonna have to settle for a '12-'14 sedan or Vagon. Only (500) V coupes built in '15. Good luck getting a response to this old thread, some of these folks have moved on.

Great screen name. :)

Never wanted a '15 anyway!!! OK, I meant to say '12-'14 but then again I am "Old Fat & Bald"!

And it does look like this thread is getting some attention.

Sooo... Do the Vagons come in a Manual Tranny?

Sooo... Do the Vagons come in a Manual Tranny?
Yes they do, but they are exceedingly rare to find. Total production of Vagons was around 1,500, and of that maybe 10%ish were manuals, so maybe 150 manual Vagons in the whole wide world. Prices are already starting to climb on the used car market. If you can get your hands on one, never let go!:yup:

The number I've heard most often is 366. That's the one I use when talking about mine.

Just remembered this thread from last year. In it, a member (V Wagon) that has access to GM records was able to share some numbers.
